Things I Can’t Live Without-A Hidden Chrome Shortcut

You know those timesaving hacks that once you found them, you wondered how you ever got along without them? Well, I’m about to blow your mind with this one…

Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you need to take a screenshot of an entire web page, but the usual drag-and-snap screenshot method won’t do the job? That’s happened to me many times.

But I have good news for you – I recently discovered a solution that will save you time and effort. Instead of using a screenshot tool or a browser extension, I recommend using Google Chrome’s built-in full-page screenshot tool.

To use this feature, all you have to do is:

  1. Open the web page you want to capture.
  2. Press Cmd + Opt + I (on Mac) or Ctrl + Shift + I (on Windows).
  3. Then, press Cmd + Shift + P (on Mac) or Ctrl + Shift + P (on Windows).
  4. In the search bar, immediately after the word “Run >”, type “screenshot”.
  5. Select “Capture full-size screenshot”, and Chrome will automatically save a full-page screenshot to your Downloads folder.

I found this feature to be a real-time-saver, as I no longer have to spend time scrolling down the page, capturing one window screenshot at a time, and then piecing it all together.

Give it a try, and let me know how it works for you.

Happy screenshotting!
