As a wife, mom, and entrepreneur, finding balance isn’t about perfection—it’s about intention. Over the years, I’ve built routines and habits that keep me grounded, focused, and (mostly) sane. Life is always moving, but with the right structure, I can navigate my days with purpose.
My Daily Rhythm
My mornings start at 6:00 AM with my furbabies, Don and Bivie, leading the way for a walk. After feeding all my furry companions—including the kitties, Buffett and Winson—I take time for myself with yoga, reading, and my morning coffee. A little housework gets done before I settle into my desk by 9:00 AM for client work.
Lunch at noon isn’t just about eating—it’s also my time to move. I take a stroll on my walking pad while listening to an audiobook before diving back into emails and finishing client work by 4:00 PM. From 4:00-5:00 PM, I shift gears to work on Wrennovate, then wrap up my day with family dinner, relaxation, and quiet time.
Boundaries That Keep Me Sane
Balancing it all means setting clear boundaries. My work hours are 9:00-5:00 PM, with intentional breaks for movement and fresh air. Dinner is non-negotiable—it’s my time to connect with my family.
The Power of Routines and Support
I don’t do it alone. My husband and daughter help, and my well-established routines keep me from feeling overwhelmed. Having structure doesn’t mean rigidity—it means I can flow through my day with purpose, even when unexpected things come up.
Time Management That Works
I rely on time blocking for client work and batching tasks like checking emails. These strategies help me stay productive without feeling scattered.
Making Time for Self-Care
Some days, self-care means squeezing in an at-home facial while handling client tasks (of course, that means no Zoom meetings). Other times, it’s simply allowing myself to enjoy the quiet. I’ve learned that small moments of self-care make a big difference.
Lessons Learned
For a long time, I burned the candle at both ends, only to face burnout. I’ve realized that balance isn’t about doing everything—it’s about doing the right things at the right time. My routines keep me centered, and even when life throws surprises my way, they help me adjust without feeling overwhelmed.
Balancing it all is a constant dance, but with the right mindset, routines, and boundaries, it’s absolutely possible.
