Here’s my story:
I spent the first 12 years of my adult life working in corporate America, in particular, Operations and Human Resources.
I enjoyed it immensely.
I did employee onboarding, benefits management, multi-state payroll processing, systems set-ups, and staff training. Basically, anything that involved figuring out the back-end details that make a company run and training the key personnel to run it.
I had lots of jobs, projects, and promotions along the way, and I had the chance to work with some of the most brilliant and innovative people in the world, many of whom took the time to mentor and teach me.
In late 2003, the company I worked for gave me a fantastic opportunity to temporarily transition from the corporate world to work as an independent contractor when my daughter was born. After 18 months of working virtually, I couldn’t imagine returning to an office setting and decided to leave the corporate world to focus on my family.
Little did I know that the “temporary” transition would lead to a path of entrepreneurship that would forever alter the course of my life and my family’s life.
Over the past 18 years, I successfully ran an eBay consignment business, homeschooled my daughter, and launched a thriving virtual assistant business while enjoying a stay-at-home lifestyle where I could focus on my family.
Today, having launched and run a small company of my own and knowing that I’ve always been the one that friends, relatives, and former coworkers come to when they need to build order and intelligence into any project, I run Wrennovate Business Solutions.
Launched in 2021, Wrennovate Business Solutions is hired by entrepreneurs and small businesses to act as their business manager and virtual assistant, helping them make more money more efficiently and under less stress.
